# Overview

> This section facilitates the management of trade transactions and provides endpoints to retrieve order details.

For orders placed on behalf of a member, use [Member Orders](https://getequity.io/docs/api-reference/endpoint/Members/member-orders.md) and [Cancel Member Order](https://getequity.io/docs/api-reference/endpoint/Members/cancel-member-order.md).

Endpoints to interact with order data:

**Get Orders:** Retrieve orders by an API client.

**Get Order:** Obtain detailed information about a single order from an API client.

**Cancel an Order:** Cancel an order owned by the API client. Escrowed funds are reversed and the order status becomes `Terminated`.
